Call for Artists: Granby Long Wall Main Street Mural
The Town of Granby Public Art Committee invites artists to submit proposals for a large-scale mural on the prominent "long wall" retaining wall along Main Street. This unique project offers a chance to create a mountain scene that will serve as a backdrop for annually rotating art installations.
We are seeking an artist to design a mountain scene that is both engaging and adaptable, allowing for a variety of art shapes to be installed atop it in future years. The design should be creative yet simple enough to not detract from the installed art. The far right end of the wall will be free from art installation and offers ample space for more intricate detail and design, and the committee requests that the town name "GRANBY" be incorporated in large letters within this section. We are open to creative ideas to make this section and town name stand out.
